Tour to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

Day 1. Airport – Almaty city. (30 km / 30 min)


Upon arrival meeting with your guide at the airport and transfer to
the hotel. Having a rest at the hotel.
After lunch we start Almaty sightseeing tour.
Almaty may have lost its status as capital of Kazakhstan, but it
remains the country’s first city, cultural, educational, tourist and
business capital and main transport hub. This beautiful town at the
foot of the emerald Tian-Shan Mountains is rightly called a garden
city.

We also will see Central Museum with Ethnographic and


Archaeological departments and we will see the Independence
Monument in Republic Square.
After excursion we drive back to the hotel.
Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2. Almaty city – Issyk Kurgan – Almaty city. (100 km / 2 hours)


In the morning we start driving to Issyk architectural complex.
50 km of the way and we visit famous museum.

The Issyk kurgan, in south-eastern Kazakhstan, near Issyk Lake, is a


burial mound discovered in 1969. It has a height of six meters and
a circumference of sixty meters. It is dated to the 4th or 3rd
century BC.
Situated in eastern Scythia just north of Sogdiana, the kurgan
contained a skeleton, warrior's equipment, and assorted funerary
goods, including 4,000 gold ornaments. Although the sex of the
skeleton is uncertain, it may have been an 18-year-old Saka
(Scythian) prince or princess.

Afternoon transfer back to Almaty city.


Half day city tour. Visit Park of 28 Panfilov’s fighters, Zenkov
Cathedral and War Memorial complex. At the same area we will
see National Instruments museum and get acquaint with local
traditional music.
Then transfer to Green Bazaar, walking around, spending time till
the evening.
(Breakfast – hotel, Lunch – cafe, Dinner – cafe).
Day 3. Almaty city – Shymbulak – Sunkar (Falcon Farm) – Almaty. (70 km / 1,5 hour)

After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Medeo`s world famous ice


rink and high mountain dam to protect the valley from the slope
of the mountain landscape near the city.

The full information about the flora anf fauna of Tien Shan
mountains will be given on th way. To enjoy the views of the North
Tien Shan Mountains and the Medeo valley, we can take a walking
tour to the top of the dam. Then we go to the Chimbulak ski
center, which is 2230 m above sea level, by cable car to enjoy the
mountain view.

Then, transfer to Sunkar (the Falcon Farm). Wewill be able to learn


about different hunting birds of hunters, learn intereesting things
about hunting species and what hunters use to hunt in bird
hunting.
After the end of excursion drive back to the hotel.
Overnight in the hotel.

Day 4. Almaty city – Bishkek city local flight. (30 km / 30 minutes)

After breakfast transfer to airport and take daily flight (40 min) to
the city of Bishkek. Upon arrival to the airport of “Manas” we take
short transfer to the local hotel in the city center. Accommodation
and rest at the hotel.
After lunch we head out on a sightseeing tour of Bishkek, which
includes: the Monument of Kyrgyz National hero Manas, Changing
of Guards of Honor, Kurmanjan Datka Monument.
A sightseeing tour of Bishkek comes to an end at Victory Square.
After excursion we will go to ZUM (Central department store) to
buy souvenirs.
Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5. Bishkek city – Ala Archa NP – Bishkek city. (80


km / 30 minutes)
After a rest we drive around 40 km out of Bishkek to Ala Archa
National Park. It is popular place for picnics, hikes, rock climbing
and alpinism. There are 20 glaciers in the territory of the park. The
total area of the park is 200 km2. You can go for a walk on the
paved road along the river or hike up to the mountains to get a
spectacular view of the gorge.
Heading back to Bishkek. Lunch at a local cafe.

There is a number of famous designers in Kyrgyzstan who combine traditional ornaments with modern
designs and tell you about the meaning of each embroidery and use of textiles. You will enjoy the
demonstration of scarf making.
After all, drive back to hotel.
Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6. Bishkek city – Burana Tower – Bishkek city. (120 km / 2 hours)


In the morning we drive to Burana Tower (UNESCO site) near Tokmok
town (1,5 hours).
That minaret was constructed in Balasagun town, one of the capitals
of Karakhanid State existed in 8-12 centuries AD. We explore ruins of
that important trading point at the Great Silk Road and visit a little
local museum with the artifacts found at the territory telling about
that civilization. Also watch a collection of Balbals, Turkic ancient
tombs.
After excursion we visit local family to have a lunch at their house.
We can organize baking of Kyrgyz traditional bread for you. Local
woman will teach you how to make Boorsoks, lepeshka (traditional flat bread), nan…
Try to make your own bread.
After all drive back to the city of Bishkek.
Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 7. Bishkek city – Airport


Transfer to the international airport “Manas”. Flight back home.
