THESIS SYNOPSIS

TOPIC 1: CULINARY ART CENTRE

Introduction

Coworking kitchen also known as dark kitchen, cloud kitchen, virtual kitchen, ghost
kitchen etc, . It does not have dine in facility. It is the emerging trend for smart food
delivery in the Food & beverages industry.

What is coworking kitchen?

Coworking kitchen is small food outlet or group of food brands that share kitchen space
under one roof. The consumer places the order through apps (like zomato, swiggy, uber
eats) or online. The delivery boys take the prepared food from the kitchen to the
consumer. There is no entry to the public.

How does it work?

 The consumer orders food through app.


 The kitchen receives the order detail.
 The food is prepared.
 The parcel is delivered to the consumer through delivery boys.

What has led to the rise of coworking kitchen?

 The use of mobile apps has led to the emerge of coworking kitchen .
 The increase in traffic and lack of parking spaces in the metropolitan cities has
made people to give second thoughts about going out to a restaurant.
 These kitchens are a hot trend among the start-ups, as it is fully equipped and
comes with low infrastructure cost.
 It is an additional source of income to the lower income group as the delivery boy
job is part time.
Aim:

To design a coworking kitchens, culinary art centre for the new startups and make it user
friendly for the delivery boys.

Objective:

 To create a space for the start ups to learn as well as setting up business.

 Parking spaces for delivery vehicle
