Automation The column automation is based on three electronic modules that are responsible for a maintenance-free process: 1. Control Unit: a microcomputer with software written especially for the iStil 250. The programming controls the actuators and collects the signals from the various sensors, The Control Unit monitors, updates and controls (among others) the Stainless Steel solenoid valves, temperature measurements collected from the digital sensors, the state of the column liquid levels, atmospheric pressure, and water flow. 2. It passes through the product cooler, to bring that temperature down to room temperature. The distillate distributor is also used for separate fores, heads, and hearts collection.
