CHANGE OF STATE
Melting. It is a process in which a solid changes to a liquid state on
heating.
Melting point:It is a fixed temperature at which a solid changes to a
liquid without any change of temperature.
Freezing: It is a process in which a liquid changes into solid state on
cooling.
Freezing point:It is a fixed temperature at which a liquid
changes to a solid state without any change of temperature.
Boiling:It is a process in which a liquid changes into
vapour state on heating.
Boiling point:It is a fixed temperature at which a liquid changes into
vapour state without any change in temperature.
1.Evaporation is a process of changing a liquid into its
vapour state at any temperature

2.It takes place from the surface of the liquid.

3.It is a slow and gradual process.

4.It produces cooling.
