Task Instructions:

This is a group submission. Each group must discuss and identify one organization that they are familiar with and
analyze its organization structure. Specifically,

 A brief overview of the chosen organization

 An overview of the organization structure
 Discussion around the rationale for this structure
 Discussion around the implications of this structure for organization’s culture, employee behavior,
decision-making and other aspects.

Please don’t restrict your reading to this chapter. Read widely based on the line of thought you wish to take to
analyze the implications of organization structure. All material used to analyze the organization structure, its
rationale and implications should be referenced at the end of the submission document.

Assessment Parameters:

Quality of content and its analysis 12 marks

Additional material used for analysis (wider reading on the subject) 4 marks
Quality of presentation (written), coherence of argument 4 marks
