To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing, with pleasure, this recommendation for Madelyne Smith.

Madelyne visited my dental office in Newport News on many occasions while she
was attending Thomas Nelson Community College, both before admittance into the
Dental Hygiene program and during. She shadowed me while I was providing care
to patients. While shadowing, Madelyne asked many questions about our
periodontal program that we have established in our office, as well as other dental
related topics. She has a firm understanding of the roles that a dental hygienist has
in the clinical setting and displayed eagerness to learn and participate. During her
shadowing, Madelyne helped with infection control procedures. She also charted
existing restorations and assisted with periodontal charting. Madelyne is always
ready to help at any given moment and is a team player.

It goes without saying, that Madelyne would be a great asset to any dental
practice. I have great confidence in her capabilities and work ethic. If given the
opportunity, I would absolutely work alongside her.
