The Desert

The Story:

Two men are walking in the desert. One man is happy to be in the desert, the other man is
upset. After a week of walking, one of the men makes it out of the desert and into the city.
When the local people ask him what happened to the other man, he lies.

Questions:

Why were the two men in the desert?

They could have been Mexican immigrants and wanted to get to "United States."

Did the happy man, or the upset man make it out of the desert?

The happy man could have successfully crossed the border, because the other man
was upset that the heat and the sun were terrible, so he preferred to return to his
family.

Why did he lie to the local people?

He could have lied so that people would´t believe he was a coward.
