DCUFI Course Introduction Overview Implementing Cisco Data Center Unified Fabric (DCUF) v4.0'is a five-day instructor-led course. It is designed for systems and field engineers, consulting systems engineers, technical solutions architects and Cisco integrators and partners who install and implement the Cisco ‘Nexus 7000 and 5000 Series Switches and the Cisco Nexus 2000 Fabric Extenders. The course covers the key components and procedures needed to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Cisco Nexus 7000 and 5000 Series Switches in the network and SAN environment. Learner Skills and Knowledge This subtopic lists the skills and knowledge that leamers must possess to benefit fully from the course. The subtopic also includes recommended Cisco leaming offerings that leamers should first complete to benefit fully from this course, Learner Skills and Knowledge The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course are as follows: = Good understanding of networking protocols Cisco CCNA Certification is recommended = Good understanding of the Fibre Channel protocol and the SAN environment ‘Attendance of a Fibre Channel protocol class or equivalent experience is recommended ~ Attendance of the Implementing Cisco Storage Network Solutions (ICSNS) class or equivalent experience is recommended Before attending this course learners should be familiar with networking protocols and technologies, the SAN environment, and the Fibre Channel protocol. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA®) level-of-knowledge is recommended for students attending the DCUFI course. Note ‘The recommended courses for CCNA are the Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices Part 1 (ICND1) and interconnecting Cisco Network Devices Part 2 (ICND2) courses.
