Area of Expertise

My area of expertise is a correlation of sports and analytics. I am equally interested in both

the industries hence I have been studying about both of them for some time now.
Specifically, I am more interested in Sports Analytics. There are various elements under
sports analytics and if I were to get more specific I am extremely interested in player
analytics. Player analytics is all about using data to help athletes improve their performance
and also not get injured. For example, a few seasons back Golden State Warriors was
criticized for making Stephen Curry sit out for many games. The fans were tremendously
upset as they were paying a huge amount of money to come see him play. It wasn’t that
Curry was injured and so he was sitting out. It was a precautionary decision made using his
player data which predicted a fatigue that his body had reached.

Brand Voice, Image and Tone

When it comes to sports analytics or even sports in general I like to keep my brand voice as
factual, logical, and precise as possible but at the same putting a personalized touch to it.
Sports as an industry has interests from the masses. Everyone has a different opinion
towards decisions which are made on the court or the field. As a student in his senior year, I
don’t want to have a social media image where I am strongly criticizing any element of it. I
want to give my opinions but in a diplomatic manner. According to the knowledge I have
gained so far sports teams are very competitive with each other when it comes to the
management end. Hence, it’s very important for me to keep a diplomatic tone in my 20’s so
that if I have to switch between teams in terms of job search I don’t face any issues.
Nonetheless, I want my social media image to be thought provoking in terms of the sports
industry essentials.
