CIRCULAR  
 
Sub:  Resuming  academic  activities  for  UG2&  UG3  students  from  13  July,  2020-­‐‑Reg.  
 
In  view  of  COVID-­‐‑19  being  declared  as  a  pandemic  by  WHO  and  other  advisories  issued  by  the  
Central  and  State  Governments  to  prevent  the  spread  of  Coronavirus  and  keeping  the  interests  of  
IIIT   Sri   City   Community,   the   campus   has   been   under   closure   since   16   March   2020.   The   institute  
is  observing  the  ongoing  situation  and  following  advisories  of  the  Governments  from  time  to  time  
to  decide  further  course  of  actions.  
 
Under  the  present  circumstances,  it  is  proposed  to  resume  the  academic  activities  for  UG2  and  
UG3   from   July   13,   2020   as   per   the   details   given   below,   subject   to   other   guidelines   issued   by  
Government  of  India  and  Government  of  Andhra  Pradesh.  
 
1)   Phase   1   (13-­‐‑18   July   2020):   All   academic   activities   including   recap   of   pending   topics   that   are  
covered   through   online   sessions,   doubts   clearing   sessions,   quizzes   and   other   face-­‐‑to-­‐‑face  
sessions  related  to  Spring  2020  semester  shall  be  completed.    
 
2)   Phase   2   (19   July-­‐‑01   August   2020):   All   assessments   including   final   examinations,   BTP   &  
Honors  evaluations,  etc.    related  to  Spring  2020  semester  shall  be  completed.  
 
Further,   it   is   proposed   to   start   the   academic   year   from   03   August   2020,   subject   to   overall  
advisories  issued  by  Government  of  India  and  Government  of  Andhra  Pradesh,  and  completion  of  
Phase  1  and  2  activities  of  Spring  2020  semester,  as  detailed  above.    
 
¨   Students  are  advised  to  continue  with  academic  preparations.  Students  are  also  encouraged  
to   take   up   summer   internships,   participate   in   hackathons   etc.   in   order   to   enhance   their  
employability  skills.  The  Career  Services  section  of  the  institute  is  making  all  efforts  to  support  
UG3  students  for  securing  summer  internships.    
 
¨   Students  are  strictly  advised  to  adhere  the  general  and  specific  guidelines  issued  by  various  
government  agencies  with  regard  to  prevention  of  spreading  of  Coronavirus.    
 
All   students   are   advised   to   visit   the   institute   website   regularly   for   further   notifications   and  
cooperate  with  the  institute  administration,  keeping  in  view  of  the  grave  threat  posed  by  COVID-­‐‑
19  to  the  entire  world.  All  requested  to  stay  at  home  and  support  the  nation.
