Financial Support and it's impact on undergraduate student financial satisfaction,
according to Solis this study examined financial satisfaction among an undergraduate student
population. Logistic regression was used to determine the impact of financial support on
financial satisfaction. The analysis indicates that the probability for dissatisfaction among
undergraduate students declined when they received scholarship and grant support. These
findings highlight the need to provide more helpful strategies for undergraduate students to
manage and minimize education debt and improve their present and future financial situation.

According to Felix , beyond the tuition fee and miscellaneous fees that come with
enrollment , students usually incur a variety of financial costs in the fulfillment of academic
requirements. Many expenses are expected parts of the educational process, whether involving
buying a textbook or paying for the printing costs of a short paper. However, certain instances
inherently incur much larger costs . For an output like thesis ,certain group of students may incur
large Costs from printing alone, in addition to the other expenses related to the research process
itself. Likewise, class projects ,group reports and excursions are among some of the academic
activities that students engage in which sometimes tend to incur large costs in the process.
Rustia said the respondents also indicated the largest amount they have had to pay for a
single project of other types . Most respondents cited a ranger of P4000 and above, followed by a
range of P4000 and above . Some of them cited experiences in relation to the costs of fulfilling
thesis . Students should know how to decide on how they will manage their expenses and
resources.
According to Gita, Senator Francis Escudero expressed dismay over the government's
failure to fully support the youth in their education, which resulted in taking their own
life. Escudero , former chairman of Senate Finance Committee said P47.4 billion was allocated
for 114 state universities and colleges (SUCs) under the 2016 national budget but it seemed that
the government was blind to address the students needs. On February 11,Jessiven Lagatic ,a
fourth year student from central Nicol State University , allegedly committed suicide after his
scholarships was taken away from him and was forced to pay his school fees amounting to P
7,000.
The case of Lagatic ,Escudero said was the "Fifth education crisis related suicide under the
administration" according to a statement by the league of Filipino students.
