Pimp Construction Refer to “Sectional Drawing’ (P1-B7017). The pump is driven by a motor directly coupled on the top. The motor andthe pump shaft are coupled with each other by a flange type rigid coupling.“ ‘Thrust bearing is fitted at the upper part of the motor to support the thrust force caused by pressure: difference and rotor dead weight. The impeller is "Seri! open type" of single suction, single stage without quiside shroud which rotates while! keeping a small gap vith the suétion liner. The effect of thé gap size.on pump. performance is. considerably large. . ‘And this gap clearance is adjusted by means of linate fastened sanong the flange type Hall court. The impeller is fixed using a key at the bottom end of shaft, impeller nut and hexagon head bolt. The screw thread of nut is machined.so as to be free tightening for screw rotational direction, Meanwhile, in order to secura tightness always, a tongued lock washer is used for impeller nut and ‘hexagon head bolt. ‘The water going out of impeller is discharged. to discharge bow!-to convert veleiy. energy into pressure energy, and the water discharged irito column pipe. ‘Shaft is supported by lower bearing (within discharge bow! boss), intermediate bearing (intermediate bearing box) and upper bearing(upper bearing box). These bearings use cutless rubber type, and installed in inner column with fitered water supplied from lub; water unit. : For shaft seal, an interlocking braid carbon fiber packing impregnated PTFE resin and special lubricant is used in order to help dry starting and sealing property. ‘The packing gland shall be of split construction in order to facilitate disassembling and assembling. For the pump component materials, stainless steet is used. 3-1 3440 3.2. Function of C.W. Pump The Circulating Water Pump is a part of the condenser cooling system. It takes suction from - seawater intake and circulates seawater in the steam condenser in order to condense the steam turbine exhaust. In the present case, 2 sets of 50% capacity pump per one unit are installed, aid both of thom are Used in cooling system fo fead seawater into condenser. 8-2 3.4-20 a A, DANGER * Atthe lime of lifting up the product, never access to the downside of the product.
