(a) Why should you be awarded the Bank Negara Malaysia scholarship?

(b)  What is your career aspiration and how would you contribute to the Bank and nation
by pursuing your chosen course of study?

First of all, I believe that I should be awarded the Bank Negara Malaysia scholarship
because I have hands-on experience dealing with social events during my Diploma years, I also
would like to believe that I have the capability and desirable characteristics to be one of the
employees or trainees under Bank Negara Malaysia. Although I was not actively involved in
curriculum and sports activities throughout high school and merely became a treasurer of
Pengawas FROG short-lived before graduating high school, I have firmly decided to change my
ways in order to become an active student.

Due to that, I joined English Language Society club in university in my first year. I have learned a
lot of things while I was a committed club member. In the club organizational structure, I was
assigned in the Protocol department. My main role as a Protocol was to ensure that any events
organized by the club to run smoothly according to the plans and that to monitor the conduct of
the audience or participants. As the English Language Society club are not truly fixated to
specific departments, this means that in each event organized, the club members are freely
assigned to any roles if so they wished for it which opens opportunities to try and break out of
their own bubble or comfort zone.

The first event that I had greatly contributed was an event titled ‘Speak out with Cekgu Zac’
which we invited a honorary guest Mr Zachariah Aidin Druckman, an English Language lecturer
at UiTM who is famous for cosplaying various character as a way to motivate his students to
study. In this event, I was given the opportunity to be an emcee along with a senior club member.
For a first timer and out of comfort zone of being an introvert, I believed that I had done a decent
job even if I was quite shaky. I am quite thankful to my club member who helped to check the
script and guide me all the way,
