Our 6 CYP450 enzymes:

CYP1A2 (Cytochrome P450 1A2)

CYP2C19 (Cytochrome P450 2C19)

CYP2C9 (Cytochrome P450 2C9)

CYP2D6 (Cytochrome P450 2D6)

CYP2E1 (Cytochrome P450 2E1)

CYP3A4 (Cytochrome P450 3A4)

• metabolizes AA (arachidonic acid) to EET (epoxyeicosatetraenoic acid) signaling
molecules.

The activities of the CYP2C19 [4-7] and CYP2D6 [8-14] enzymes are biomedically distributed in
the population, allowing classification of individuals as either extensive (EM) or poor
metabolizers (PM). Medications induce either Inhibition or Induction within the isoenzymes:
Enzyme inhibition reduces metabolism, whereas induction can increase it.
