Our Intern Program continued in 1994 and our second
intern was Seminarian Carol Sipes. Our young people came
home winners at the Synod Bible Bowl for the second year
ina row.
In 1995 our third and final Intern was Seminarian
Michelle Nickodemus, as the program was discontinued by
the Synod. New linoleum was purchased by the Sunday
School and installed in the two downstairs bathrooms.
Following the installation of new drains in our basement,
new linoleum was installed in the kitchen.
The name of our church was changed by a majority
vote of the congregation in 1996 to Christ Rupp Evangelical
Lutheran Church. This was done for consistency, our history
and to preserve the name Rupp for our future.
In 1997 additional lighting was installed in the church
and upstairs Sunday School area, the parking lot was tarred
and chipped and landscaping was done around the front of
the church through a Work Project grant from Aid
Association for Lutherans. The George McVay family
placed a sleigh bench in the narthex in memory of Blanche
Bargerstock.
Pastor James Neal resigned from our church in
October, 1998 and Pastor Vaughn Taylor became our full-
Interim Pastor until June, 2000, when Pastor William
haefer was called to be our Pastor. During this period of
ime, a donation was given to the church by the Kinnard
tate in memory of Ray and Mildred Kinnard for the
chase of a public address system. Helen Marasco and
