In 2007 a new flower garden was constructed outside the Sunday School basement entrance, made possible by a donation from Kathryn Fiscus in mentbry of her husband Robert and her parents Lawrence and Hazel Clark. New Bibles were purchased for the Sunday School classes. Ten Lutheran churches in the area gathered together to worship on Reformation Sunday at Kittanning Middle School. Pastor Schaefer resigned in 2008. Following his departure, Pastor Philip Ramstad and Pastor Richard Grance served as interim pastors. During this interim period, the parsonage was repainted, inside and out, and new carpeting and linoleum were installed. A new pictorial directory was published, a new furnace was installed, a new dishwasher was donated by Purn and Iva Jane Geidel and the Advent candelabra was refurbished in memory of Bernice Rupp. In August, 2009 we welcomed our newly ordained pastor, Pastor Joan Armstrong. During Pastor Armstrong’s ministry, we celebrated 150 years of Joint Ministry with Emmanuel Heilman Church (in 2010), by having an old- fashioned hoedown and also a worship service that included several of our former pastors. We entered into a contract with Glassworks Studio to have our stained glass windows refurbished. Many fundraisers and donations went into making this possible. A security system was installed. Pastor Armstrong was only with us for a short period of time due to her ill health. Pastor Carl Johnson served as our Interim Pastor beginning in December, 2010, with numerous Pastors and lay worship leaders leading our Sunday worship services. Pastor Armstrong resigned from her duties as Pastor in May, 2011 and Pastor Doug Heagy began serving -~I18-
