Final Reflection

This semester has been a very strange one to say the least. Nobody saw this

coming, and this is not the way that I anticipated my time in college coming to an end.

However, the transition to remote learning was only for a short time, so I will not look

back on the end very often. The rest of my time in school has been a great time of

growth for me. I have grown as a student, as a professional, and as a person. It was my

dream to attend the University of Alabama. While I was able to be there it is clear that I

made the most of my chance. Now whenever I walk around campus, I have a memory

of something that happened in or around almost every building. I am looking forward to

coming back to campus very often and enjoying those great memories again. There is

even a spot on the engineering quad where I proposed to my fiancé. So, Tuscaloosa

will be a place where we share many memories together.

The actual schoolwork was something that I enjoyed at Alabama as well. The

challenges that my classes provided helped me grow into an engineer that could have

an opportunity to work in a full-time position. This personal and professional

development class also helped to set me up for future success. I really enjoyed learning

about different professional tips. The questions to look for in an interview were good to

learn for future situations. Walking through the job decision-making process was helpful

to me, because it brought up points that I had not given much thought to before. I

enjoyed the area of the class that focused on having a successful mindset. The book
Barking Up the Wrong Tree by Eric Barker was a very fun read. I want to remember the

ways to keep a strong and healthy mindset about success and other personal and

professional ideas. It was a good thing that this class was a part of my final semester as

an undergraduate student at the University of Alabama.
