Keep on Climbing
Life is a mountain, you’ll have highs and lows
You’ll learn new things and grow
Or maybe you’ll have to take a step back
You want to reach the top but sometimes you can’t

You seem to be making progress and things are looking up

You get help from people around you
You’re climbing up the mountain and things are looking good for once
People around you comment on how happy you are

Crash!!! In an instant things can change

Lessons like love can push you back
You never know when the rock could break and things could come crashing down
Just like a rock breaks your heart could too
He leaves you because you're not meant to be or you're simply not good enough
Everything seems to be going backwards, all the progress you made has suddenly
diminished

In this dark time you find a cave

A cave on the side of the mountain that you stay in for a little
You get stuck here and can no longer find your way out of the darkness
The darkness controls your desire to live and the desperation you feel to diminish
Just when things seem to come to an end, your friends pull you out of it

You realize what you have taken for granted and you start climbing again
With the help from your friends you find your happiness
True happiness within the heart that gives you high spirits and a sense of hopefulness
You realize you don’t need him and love isn’t something that just stops

You feel free and somewhat lost

You’ve climbed higher than you ever have before
But where are you and who do you want to be?
You think of everything that could possibly have an effect on you
Your words and your actions, how it affects people

You keep climbing in hopes everything will work out

You’re in good spirits and more joyful than ever
You grasp everything that life has given you
You’re on a never ending journey of life

Climbing up and down you hope to reach the peak

When you get there you hope to look back and see everything you accomplished
You hope to have no regrets and have done everything you wanted to
This is the never ending journey of life, keep on climbing
