DLM: Above and Beyond

I gaze up at the beautifully decorated and delicious treats in the bakery. I beg my dad to

please allow me to get more than one treat tonight. How could I choose just one? My dad says as

long as you do not tell your mom, and my eyes light up. I decide to get one Laura’s Cookie and

the Brookie Killer Brownie. I could hardly wait to get home and indulge on these mouthwatering

desserts. As a 5 year old, my only worry was what dessert I would choose that night. I have gone

grocery shopping at Dorothy Lane Market in Springboro with my parents frequently since I was

a kid. Dorothy Lane Market is a top notch grocery store with over the top service, high quality

food, and a homey atmosphere, although the prices are extremely high.

Dorothy Lane Market’s employees never fail to check up on you multiple times

throughout your visit at the store. If you are questioning purchasing something or where

something would be, the employees are quick to help. The over the top service also includes the

stores organization. The workers at Dorothy Lane Market make sure their store is constantly

organized and that their consumers can find what they want to buy easily. The employees at the

Springboro location always have a smile on their face that could brighten your day. When you

are finished shopping at DLM and you go to checkout, the cashiers are always patient and make

sure you found all your items okay. Then, the person bagging your items will offer to take your

bags out to your car for you. This exemplifies how Dorothy Lane Market goes above and beyond

for their customers.

Dorothy Lane Market does not only offer extravagant service, but they also provide their

customers with high quality food. Dorothy Lane Market includes The Bakery, The Deli, The

DLM Coffee Bar, “The Grill”, and even The Bar. The Bakery provides bread, desserts, and

pastries. The employees of The Bakery will slice your bread any way that you desire.The bakers

also thoroughly decorate their desserts and pastries and package them neatly. There is a variety

of desserts and many options for you to choose from. Similarly to The Bakery, The Deli slices

your meat any way you prefer and gives you a sample of what you order. The Deli also includes

another section with homemade dishes, such as different pastas, chicken entrees, and vegetables.

The final part of The Deli includes Dorothy Lane Markets delicious, homemade Naples-Style

Pizza. The DLM Coffee bar includes creative coffees, such as the Killer Brownie Latte. The

Coffee Bar is staffed with trained baristas to provide you with your favorite coffee or tea. “The

Grill” at Dorothy Lane Market includes different seafoods and meats. They will cook your meat

or seafood however you like, which calls for any easy meal to pick up for dinner. The Bar at

DLM has an elegant bar to enjoy your beverage at, and hosts weekly wine tastings. All of

DLM’s food and drinks are assembled based on the customers choice and what satisfies them.

Dorothy Lane is not just the typical grocery store as it provides a cozy atmosphere each

time you come in. The decor of the grocery store is classy and exemplifies a home-like feel.

Dorothy Lane Market includes an upstairs level with a private meeting room, tables, and chairs.

The upstairs at DLM could be used to study for classes, work on a project, enjoy your food, or

even the perfect spot to host a meeting. The upstairs at DLM also is the home to many events

that Dorothy Lane Market hosts, such as Food and Wine Shows, Cheese Tastings, and a hands

on Italian Food and Wine class. The only downfall or turnoff to Dorothy Lane Market would be

their high prices. Dorothy Lane is a gourmet grocery store, so to provide customers with the over

the top service and high quality food, the prices are bound to be high.

Dorothy Lane Market is luxurious grocery store, which meets the criteria of a over the

top grocery store. The store provides you with many opportunities to get involved in the

community and to learn more about cooking. The employees at the store are always

approachable and considerate to their customers. The high quality food provides you will a

variety of dinner options on hectic nights. The friendly atmosphere brings many customers into

the store. Out of all the grocery stores in the area, Dorothy Lane would be the store that I would

recommend to others.
