Mode of Examination: The Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz. (1) Written Test (Objective), (2) Personality Test, as detailed below: Written Test : The OMR based Written Examination of 200 marks consisting of multiple choice, objective type of 100 questions of carrying 2 (two) marks each will be conducted. There will be negative marking of 1 (one) mark each for every incorrect / wrong answer. Question will be set in English and time allowed will be 2 (two) hours. B, Syllabus for the Written Test: For the post of Sub Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) Diploma level Examination in Mechanical Engineering as approved by the AICTE. Personality Test: 40 marks Candidates about 3 (three) times of the vacancy, will be called on merit basis for Personality Test, subject to obtaining qualifying marks @ 45% for General Candidates, @ 40% O.B.C. (A) & O.BC. (B) Candidates and @ 35% for S.C., S.T. & P.H. Candidates. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Written Examination and Personality test taken together. NB.- 4) CALCULATOR / PAGER | MOBILE PHONE / TABS OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF ELECTRONIC GADGET OF COMMUNICATION ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THE EXAMINATION HALL. NO ARRANGEMENT WILL BE MADE AT THE CENTER FOR KEEPING THE SAID ITEMS OUTSIDE THE EXAMINATION HALL. 2) PLEASE NOTE THAT IF ANY CANDIDATE ADOPTS ANY UNFAIR MEANS OR MALPRACTICE ‘OR COMMIT ANY MISCONDUCT WHILE APPEARING FOR THE EXAMINATION, HIS / HER CANDIDATURE IS LIABLE TO BE SUMMARILY CANCELLED, MOREOVER HE / SHE MAY BE LIABLE TO PENAL ACTION.
