‫ش َما ظَ َه َر ِم ْن َها َوَما بَطَ َن َوََّل‬ ‫أَوََّل َدُكم ِمن إِم ََل ٍق ََْنن نَرزقُ ُكم وإِ ََّّيهم وََّل تَ ْقربوا الَْفو ِ‬
‫اح‬
‫ُ ْ ُ ْ َ ُ ْ َ َُ َ َ‬ ‫ْ ْ ْ ْ‬
‫صا ُك ْم بِِه لَ َعلَّ ُك ْم تَ ْع ِقلُو َ َ (‪)151‬‬‫اَّللُ إََِّّل ِِب ْْلَِق ذَلِ ُك ْم َو َّ‬
‫س الَِِّت َح َّرَم َّ‬ ‫تَ ْقتُ لُوا النَّ ْف َ‬
‫‪Say: Come, let me tell you what your Lord has forbidden to you: Do not associate‬‬
‫‪partners with Him; [do not offend against but, rather,] be kind to your parents; do‬‬
‫‪not kill your children because of your poverty — We provide for you and for‬‬
‫‪them; do not commit any shameful deed, whether open or secret; do not take any‬‬
‫‪human being’s life — which God has made sacred, except in the course of justice.‬‬
‫)‪This He has enjoined upon you so that you may use your reason. (151‬‬

‫کہہ کہ (لوگو) آؤ میں تمہیں وہ چیزیں پڑھ کر سناؤں جو تمہار کسی چیز کو خدا کا شریک نہ بناناے پروردگار‬
‫نے تم پر حرام کر دی ہیں ( ان کی نسبت اس نے اس طرح ارشاد فرمایا ہے) کہ اور ماں باپ (سے بدسلوکی نہ‬
‫کرنا بلکہ) حسن سلوک کرتے رہنا اور ناداری (کے اندیشے) سے اپنی اوالد کو قتل نہ کرنا کیونکہ تم کو اور ان‬
‫کو ہم ہی رزق دیتے ہیں اور بےحیائی کے کام ظاہر ہوں یا پوشیدہ ان کے پاس نہ پھٹکنا اور کسی جان (والے)‬
‫کو جس کے قتل کو خدا نے حرام کر دیا ہے قتل نہ کرنا مگر جائز طور پر (یعنی جس کا شریعت حکم دے) ان‬
‫باتوں کا وہ تمہیں ارشاد فرماتا ہے تاکہ تم سمجھو ﴿‪﴾۱۵۱‬‬
 The “Ten Commandments” in Islam
The Ten Commandments which basically encompass what is described as unlawful in
Islam by Allah include:
• Biggest Sin Shirk(To associate anyone with Allah Ta’ala in belief, deed, worship, or
obedience)
• Mistreating Parents/ Not be good to parents(Respect for parents)
• Killing Children/ To kill children because of poverty (bringing up children)
• Injunction on Shameful Acts/ To indulge in shameful doings
• Killing Unjustly/ To Kill someone unjustly
 ‫‪Safety of orphans property & Weighing with Justice‬‬

‫س ُن َح ََّّت يَ ْب لُ َغ أَ ُش َّد ُه َوأَ ْوفُوا الْ َك ْي َل َوال ِْم َيزا َ َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ال الْيتِ ِيم إََِّّل ِِبلَِِّت ِ‬
‫ح‬‫أ‬
‫َ ْ َ‬ ‫ي‬‫ه‬ ‫َوََّل تَ ْق َربُوا َم َ َ‬
‫ف نَ ْفسا إََِّّل وسعها وإِذَا قُلْتم فَا ْع ِدلُوا ولَو َكا َ َ ذَا قُرَب وبِعه ِد َِّ‬
‫اَّلل‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ل‬ ‫ك‬‫َ‬ ‫ن‬
‫ُ‬ ‫َّل‬
‫َ‬ ‫ط‬‫ِ‬ ‫س‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ْق‬‫ل‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ِب‬
‫َْ َ َْ‬ ‫َْ‬ ‫ُْ‬ ‫ً ُ ْ ََ َ‬ ‫ْ‬
‫صا ُك ْم بِِه لَ َعلَّ ُك ْم تَ َذَّك ُرو َ َ (‪)152‬‬‫أَ ْوفُوا َذلِ ُك ْم َو َّ‬
Do not touch the property of an orphan before he comes of age,
except to improve it. Give just weight and full measure. We do
not charge a soul with more than it can bear. When you speak, be
just, even though it be against one of your close relatives. Be
true to your covenant with God. This He has enjoined upon you
so that you may bear it in mind. (152)
‫اور یتیم کے مال کے پاس بھی نہ جانا مگر ایسے طریق سے کہ بہت ہی پسندیدہ ہو یہاں تک کہ‬
‫وہ جوانی کو پہنچ جائے اور ناپ تول انصاف کے ساتھ پوری پوری کیا کرو ہم کسی کو تکلیف‬
‫نہیں دیتے مگر اس کی طاقت کے مطابق اور جب (کسی کی نسبت) کوئی بات کہو تو انصاف سے‬
‫کہو گو وہ (تمہارا) رشتہ دار ہی ہو اور خدا کے عہد کو پورا کرو ان باتوں کا خدا تمہیں حکم دیتا‬
﴾ ۱۵۲﴿ ‫ہے تاکہ تم نصیحت کرو‬
• Eating the Property of an Orphan by False Means/ To usurp an orphan’s
property by false means (Utilization of Orphans wealth)
• Weighing with Justice To weigh or measure short in all walks of
life/Measuring Short
• Be Just/ To be unjust in witness, judgement, or speech
• Account for outer and inner actions Promise making/Fulfil Covenant
(‫ )ایفائے عہد‬/ To betray the covenant of Allah
 The Right Path
َّ ‫السبُ َل فَ تَ َف َّر َق بِ ُك ْم َع ْن َسبِيلِ ِه َذلِ ُك ْم َو‬
‫صا ُك ْم‬ ‫وا‬‫ع‬ِ‫ب‬َّ
‫ت‬ ‫ت‬ ‫َّل‬‫و‬ ‫وه‬‫ع‬ِ‫ب‬َّ
ُّ ُ َ َ ُ ُ ً َ ْ ُ ‫ص َر‬
َ ‫ت‬ ‫ا‬َ‫ف‬ ‫ا‬ ‫يم‬ ِ
‫ق‬ ‫ت‬ ‫س‬ ‫م‬ ‫ي‬ ِ
‫اط‬ ِ ‫َ َ َه َذا‬ َّ ‫و ََأ‬
)153( َ َ ‫بِ ِه لَ َعلَّ ُك ْم تَتَّ ُقو‬
Know that this is the way leading to Me, a straight path. Follow it, then, and do not
follow other ways, for they cause you to deviate from His way. All this He has enjoined
upon you so that you may remain God-fearing. (153)

‫اور یہ کہ میرا سیدھا رستہ یہی ہے تو تم اسی پر چلنا اور اور رستوں پر نہ چلنا کہ (ان پر چل کر) خدا کے رستے‬
﴾۱۵۳﴿ ‫سے الگ ہو جاؤ گے ان باتوں کا خدا تمہیں حکم دیتا ہے تاکہ تم پرہیزگار بنو‬

*Following the right Way *Follow not Ways to Astray

*Enjoins of Allah * To avoid the straight path of Allah and follow other ways
• The first five injunctions are described in the first verse [151] and Allah
ends the verse by telling the reader to understand because the people of
Jahiliyyah followed ancestral customs and their own whims without
rational thought.

• The second verse [152] describes injunctions 6-9 and are points even the
ignorant knew to be necessary but most were not heeded to. Allah ended
this verse by telling the reader to observe the advice and act on it.

• The third verse [153] contains instructions to follow a straight path and
avoid doing the contrary and Allah ends the verse by saying so that you
may be God-fearing to highlight that nothing more than the authentic fear
of Allah would keep a human firmly on the straight path.

‫ً ًيَل لِ ُك ِل َش ْي ٍء َو ُه ًدى َوَر ْْحَ ًة لَ َعلَّ ُه ْم بِلِ َق ِاء َرِِّبِ ْم يُ ِْْمنُو َ َ (‪)154‬‬ ‫ْ ََ َ‬ ‫َ ً‬
‫ُثَّ ْتَ ي َنا موسْ ال ِ‬
‫ْكَتاَ َماَاما َعلَْ الَّ ِذح أَحسن وتَ ْف ِ‬
‫ْ ُ َ‬

‫‪Moreover, We gave Moses the Book in fulfilment [of Our favour] upon him who would do‬‬
‫‪right, clearly spelling out everything, and providing guidance and grace, so that they‬‬
‫)‪might believe in the meeting with their Lord. (154‬‬

‫موسی کو کتاب عنایت کی تھی تاکہ ان لوگوں پر جو نیکوکار ہیں نعمت پوری کر دیں‬
‫ؑ‬ ‫(ہاں) پھر (سن لو کہ) ہم نے‬
‫اور (اس میں) ہر چیز کا بیان (ہے) اور ہدایت (ہے) اور رحمت ہے تاکہ (ان کی امت کے) لوگ اپنے پروردگار کے‬
‫ُروبرو حاضر ہونے کا یقین کریں ﴿‪﴾۱۵۴‬‬
