A Contemporary Timeline of Events in the Exalted Word

Realm Year –1:

The Seventh Legion of Shogun, led by Chumyo Nefvarin Gilshalos, construct a fortified camp at the ruins of the city of Deheleshen.

Realm Year 0:
A nameless officer, who would later become the Scarlet Empress, successfully infiltrates the Imperial Manse on the Blessed Isle and
reactivates the Realm Defense Grid brining about the destruction of the armies of the Fair Folk. After the destruction of the Rakhasa
host she issues the Imperial Proclamation and officially establishes the Scarlet Dynasty.

Realm Year 1:
The Seven Tigers, generals of the Shogunate who refuse to acknowledge the rule of the Scarlet Empress, are destroyed and their
forces folded into those of the emergent Empire. Within a year the Empress controls the entirety of the Blessed Isle and Chiarascuro is
left in ruins.

Realm Year 3:
The Realm begins construction of the Imperial city on the ruins of Vanchow.

Realm Year 8:
Ma-Ha-Suchi returns to the Salon Province.

Realm Year 12:

The Empress founds the All-Seeing Eye.
Leviathan returns to sunken Luthe.

Realm Year 13:

The Scionborn are introduced to the society of Luthe.

Realm Year 14:

An-Teng submits to the Realm.

Realm Year 18:

The Empress establishes the beginnings of what would become the Thousand Scales and Imperial Magistrates.

Realm Year 19:

Raksi conquers Speirmin.

Realm Year 20:

The Seventh Legion begins construction of the city of Lookshy over the ruins of Deheleshen.

Realm Year 22:

The Scarlet Empress endorses Bendaris as queen of the Linowan.

Realm Year 27:

Elder Oak adopts the refugees of Speirmin, founding the Ten Tribes of the Oak.

Realm Year 37:

Wavecrest allies with the Realm.

Realm Year 40:

The Empress raises the first Imperial Legions.
The Coral Archipelago establishes amicable relations with the Realm.

Realm Year 44:

A lovesick suitor assassinates Araka Jeresh, the lover of the Scarlet Empress.

Realm year 45:

Representatives of the Empress arrive in the Scavenger Lands to press the Scarlet Dynasty’s claim over the River Province.

Realm Year 52:

The Council of Entities led by the Emissary takes control of Nexus.
Realm year 57:
The First Realm War. The Fourth Imperial Legion invades the River Province, conquering various small city-states while notably
bypassing both Sijan and Lookshy, the former out of respect for the dead the latter due to ongoing negotiations. Across the River
Province, guerilla movements arise to oppose the Realm’s invasion.

Realm Year 67:

The Realm places a bounty on the Brass Leviathan.

Realm Year 68:

Cevis Ghandarva and his followers leave the Blessed Isle for the East, his lieutenant, Peace of Song Forgotten, soon discovers the Sea
of the Mind.
The Lunar elder Raksi conquers the city of Sperimen.

Realm Year 69:

After 12 years of intense guerilla combat the Fourth Imperial Legion pulls out of the River Province and retreats to allied territories.
The Lunar elder Ingosh Silverclaws calls the Great Gathering where the Silver Way is codified.
Brem Marst born in the region of present day Great Forks.

Realm Year 71:

Oreithyia falls in love with Bidalaksa Valentin.

Realm Year 72:

Ghandarva trades Samanthi Anja’s soul for Dominca’s mantle.

Realm Year 75:

The Second Realm War. The Realm invades the River Province with four full legions besieging Lookshy and conquering both Nexus
and Sijan. Fierce insurrections spread throughout the countryside and eventually the Realm offensive grounds to all halt.

Realm Year 76:

The Seventh Legion detonates a Soulbreaker Orb outside Lookshy’s walls obliterating the imperial forces besieging the city and
paving the way for a forced march by the Seventh Legion to present day Great Forks where they destroy the Fourth Imperial Legion.
In Nexus the Emissary executes every officer of the rank of talonlord and above in retaliation for the Realm’s attacks on the Council
of Entities and its violation of the Incunabulum. The surviving legionnaires are exiled from the city.
By year’s end the Realm forces are in full retreat.

Realm Year 77:

Realm troops leave Sijan.

Realm Year 80:

Republic of Chaya founded along the Sandy River.

Realm Year 81:

The Empress declares the separation of the High Realm and the Low Realm.

Realm Year 83:

Unrestricted naval warfare breaks out between the Realm and the River Province.

Realm Year 87:

The Bodhisattva Annointed by Dark Waters appears on Darkmist Isle.

Realm Year 88:

The Third Realm War. The Realm invades the River Province with seven full legions supported by the Empress’ personal guard and
several allied contingents.
Brem Marst, unable to return home, waits out the war at the Lap with the Counters, discovering First Age mercantile theories.

Realm Year 89:

Battle of Melehvil. The Empress’ personal guard is destroyed by the Seventh Legion due to the defection of Taimyo Vondy Beulen to
Lookshy. Saboteurs succeed in scuttling the Realm’s expeditionary navy forcing the invasion force to be evacuated on merchant ships.
This marks the end of the last full invasion of the Scavenger Lands by the Realm.
Brem Marst returns home with new system for governing large scale trading operations.
Realm Year 95:
The League of Many Rivers is formed.
The Federation of Ivalice joins the League within the year.

Realm Year 99:

Brem Marst forms the Guild.

Realm Year 103:

The Scarlet Empress establishes the Deliberative.

Realm Year 104-109:

At the urging of Brem Marst and Guild, coastal states of the River Province forswear their loyalty to the Scarlet Empress and petition
to join the League. After much deliberation these states are allowed to join the League. The protestations of the Realm are derisively
ignored.

Realm Year 114:

An assassination attempt on Empress prompts her to adopt the Thousand Mazy paths policy.
The Empress marries Rawar of Arjuf.

Realm Year 117:

The Guild allies with Council of Entities and moves central headquarters from Great Forks to Nexus.
The first Directorate is codified and established.

Realm Year 143:

The Bodhisattva’s manse, Ebon Skull, is completed.

Realm Year 130:

Birth of Manosque.

Realm Year 133:

The astrologer priest Larn discovers a hibernating Dragon King savant Glowing Feather in the First Age ruin of Hlass; it is the genesis
of the Varang.

Realm Year 137:

Ghandarva’s followers, upon Amoril Rurik and Evelina’s urging, become bandits in order to expand the Sea of the Mind. The Forest
Witches also begin to accept outsiders into their ranks.

Realm Year 139:

Birth of Ragara.

Realm Year 144:

One of the Forest Witch’s manses is destroyed by internal conflict.

Realm Year 145:

The death of Bidalaksa Valentin at the hands of Amoril Rurik drives Oreithyia into a rage that nearly destroys the Forest Witches.
Only a pact made by Cevis Ghandarva with the enraged spirit averts such a disaster.

Realm Year 146:

Bagrash Kol uses the Eye of Autochthon to found a great kingdom in the north that surpasses the early Realm.
The Guild forges an alliance with Bagrash Kol.

Realm Year 174:

Satrapies in the northwest with the support of the Guild revolt against the Realm and form the Nine Duchies. In response the Realm
sends three legions to crush the insurrection and directs its intelligence agencies to monitor the Guild more closely. This marks the
Guild’s first foray into international politics.
Brem Marst foresees the downfall of Bagrash Kol’s kingdom and quietly withdraws the Guild’s personnel and interests.

Realm Year 176:

Bagrash Kol destroyed by the Eye of Autochthon

Realm Year 179:

Brem Marst dies
Realm Year 191:
The Scepter of Peace and Order is discovered in Dari by the man who would become the Perfect of Paragon.

Realm Year 198:

The Perfect becomes the king of a kingdom that will one day become Paragon.

Realm Year 199:

The Fair Folk wage war upon the pelagial city of Lyre of Currents.

Realm Year 202:

The Thousand Scales reaches its current form

Realm Year 211:

The Delzahn Horde led by Tamas Khan conquers Chiaroscuro and offers its fealty to the Realm. Later in the year he fakes his death
and leaves the prophecy of the Kha-Khan’s return.

Realm Year 212:

Amoril Rurik establishes the Mandala Guard.

Realm Year 226:

The alleged ascension of Tamas Khan.

Realm Year 227:

The Empress takes Nellens as a consort.

Realm Year 231:

Sesus is born.

Realm Year 235:

Ledaal is born.

Realm Year 243:

The Bodhisattva Annoited by Dark Waters commits ritual suicide, promising to returns as a prince clad in silver.

Realm Year 244:

Manosque Viridian uses the Eye of Autochthon to stage a coup. However three days before reaching the Imperial Capital his army
falls into the sky and his family is put to the sword.

Realm Year 248:

Construction of the city of Paragon begins.

Realm Year 261:

Nellens dies.

Realm Year 265:

The District Wars. War breaks out between Laris and Velen over rights to the Sandy River.

Realm Year 278:

The City of Great Forks is founded by refugees lead by Spinner of Glorious Tales, Weaver of Dream of Victory and Shield of a
Different Day. Three gods then combined their powers to chase off the Deathlord known as Princess Magnificent with Lips of Coral
and Robes of Black Feathers from her fortress.

Realm Year 281:

Treaty between Halta and the Fair Folk.

Realm Year 285:

Formal founding of the Varang Confederation.

Realm Year 286:

Cevis Ghandarva is reborn as Ledaal Demyen.
Realm Year 298:
Inauguration of Paragon.

Realm Year 299:

Trae Leng’s revolt.

Realm Year 301:

House Iselsi sponsors a quasi-official invasion of the River Province that ends is disaster precipitating the house’s eventual downfall.
Cevis Ghandarva returns to the Forest Witches with the Blood and Spear Sutras and establishes the Company of Thrones.

Realm Year 303:

House Iselsi attempts a coup but is crushed out of hand and made are servants of the Scarlet Throne.

Realm Year 305:

Rankar founds the city of Gem after striking it rich.

Realm Year 318:

War of Summer Conflagration between the Linowan and Halta.

Realm Year 326:

Vengeful Harvest uprising.

Realm Year 335:

The first office of the Guild is established in the Blessed Isle at the port of Chanos despite tensions between the Guild’s members and
the Realm’s bureaucracy.

Realm Year 385:

Versino, the Realm’s first school of sorcery, is destroyed by a summoning spell gone awry. The lone survivor of the incident is
Mnemon.

Realm Year 362:

The Empress takes Tepet as a consort.
Blood on the Horn born in Harborhead

Realm Year 364:

The Arczeckh Horde invades the Hundred Kingdoms from the South, ravaging several small states before being driven off by the
League’s forces.
Barbarian incursions along the northern coast of the Inland Sea are repulsed by the Gleaming Fang Legion (11th Legion).

Realm Year 367:

Two Chayan towns attempt secession; they are mysteriously destroyed.

Realm Year 369:

Birth of Mnemon.

Realm Year 370:

Rawar of Arjuf dies.

Realm Year 371:

Lord’s Crossing is made the Guild’s hub city on the Blessed Isle.
Tepet, the Empress’ Consort, vanishes.

Realm Year 385:

A summoning involving a Second Circle Demon goes terribly awry and utterly destroys the Academy of Versino. There are no
survivors save for the Empress’ 16-year-old daughter Mnemon who emerges bearing the Emerald Thurible.
Blood on the Horn conquers much of present day Harborhead

Realm Year 392:

Blood on the Horn restores the Fane of Unswept Horns in Kirighast as the center of the Cult of Ahlat.

Realm Year 393:

House Tepet imposes the wagon wheel tax.
Realm Year 402:
Tya Edralneth begins the tradition that bears her name.

Realm Year 409:

Overthrow of the last despot of Rankar the prospector’s lineage.

Realm Year 412:

Lintha Ng Hut Dukantha is born.
Arvida of the Crescent Eye, the Lunar leader of the three Haslan tribes, is slain by the Wyld Hunt.

Realm Year 416:

The Guild removes all its interests from the Blessed Isle and announces a boycott signaling the start of the Trade War.
Forces of Blood on the Horn accidentally kill representatives of House Cathak in a punitive strike on the city of Ivrore. In retaliation
the Empress sends a hundred Dragon-Blooded at the head of six legions to conquer Harborhead.

Realm Year 418:

The Trade War ends with the Guild accepting punitive taxes and tariffs on its goods entering the Blessed Isle while formal trade is
moved to Cherak in the Haslanti League. The Guild makes no attempt to reestablish an office or hub city on the Blessed Isle.

Realm Year 422:

House Nellens elevated to Great House status.
Blood on the Horn falls to Mnemon Pardus at the Battle of Hudu Towasi. The kingdom of Harborhead becomes a Realm tributary.

Realm Year 424:

Denzik Badr arranges the formation of the Denzik Merchant Association.

Realm Year 428:

The Heptagram officially opens under the leadership of Ragara Cynis Bhagwei.

Realm Year 450:

Haltan Sucession crisis.

Realm Year 465:

Unbroken Rushes rebellion.

Realm Year 474:

Revolt breaks out in Harborhead after the Realm attempts to demolish the Fane of Unswept Horns. It takes eight years to suppress the
revolt and the demolition of the Fane is abandoned.

Realm Year 500:

The Guild opens trade with the Four Camps of Haslan and beings to gain greater influence over the Haslan tribes eventually bringing
about their colonization.

Realm Year 521:

The Skullstone Archipelago claims the island of Cormorant formerly of the Neck.

Realm Year 535:

Revolt breaks out in Harborhead after the Realm executes a prominent priest of Ahlat for outspoken stance against the Realm. The
revolt takes fifteen years to suppress in which the Realm perpetrates several atrocities to shock the people into submission.

Realm Year 547:

The Fair Folk invade the Hundred Kingdoms.

Realm Year 550:

Treaties renegotiated with Chiarascuro and other major cities to relax tariffs.

Realm Year 554:

The forces of the League of Many Rivers defeat the Fair Folk.

Realm Year 557:

In light of the second Fair Folk invasion the major powers of the Scavenger lands forge a stronger defensive alliance, the
Confederation of Rivers.
The first recorded appearance of Demon Captain Kasua.

Realm Year 563:

Cevis Ghandrava is reborn as the god-blooded son of Spinner of Glorious Tales.

Realm Year 564:

Vitali Proseria delivers the Blessing of Awakening to the Forest Witches. The Company of Messengers and the Table of Fiends are
formed. The Dead of the Sea of the Mind levies the Tax of Fading Embers upon the Forest Witches.

Realm year 568:

Sesus Marahd and his entourage establish a monastery on the Isle of Blasphemous Prayer.

Realm Year 578:

The Realm’s war against the Solar Jochim begins.

Realm Year 580:

The Haslan revolt against the Guild. The chiefs and shamans of the Haslan tribes meet at the Lighthouse of Twisted Stone where Gerd
Marrow-Eater unites them to form the beginnings Haslanti League.

Realm Year 581:

The Realm withdraws its garrison from An-Teng.

Realm Year 583:

Gerd Marrow-Eater leads the Haslanti League in conquering three of the Four Camps leaving the last for the League to conquer on its
own. At the end of the Battle of Icehome Gerd Marow-Eater codifies the League government and vanishes soon after.

Realm Year 585:

The Realm’s war against the Solar Jochim ends with his death at the hands of Tepet Arada.

Realm Year 591:

Ragara’s Widows uprising.

Realm Year 592:

The Prince of An-Teng forges a treaty with the Lintha pirates.

Realm Year 600:

The Denzik city ship launches from Chiarascuro.

Realm Year 610:

The warlord Erushon, occupies Chaya; Chayans tear him limb from limb.

Realm Year 615:

Several high-ranking officers of the Seventh Legion are killed by the detonation of a First Age weapon during a meeting held at the
Gunzota Redoubt. The General Staff quietly suppresses any information about the incident.

Realm Year 643:

The Empress’ dissolves the Deliberative after both chambers vetoed no less than three of her decrees in the space of a week. Every
member of the Lesser Chamber and most of the Greater Chamber are executed and replaced by more compliant representatives.

Realm Year 657:

Filial Wisdom arrives in Rathess, becoming the Ghoul King.

Realm Year 661:

The Hawkriders of Metagalapa initiate contact with the rest of the world.

Realm Year 667:

The Founding of Farhold.

Realm Year 670:

Ten Stripes co-opts the island of Seminare for a social experiment.
Realm Year 677:
Wavecrest founds the Western Trade Alliance to combat the Coral Archipelago’s piracy as a result Coral’s economy enters a slow
recession.

Realm Year 686:

A talon of the Realm’s soldiers in Harborhead interrupts a sacrifice being carried out by the Desert Pumas. In response much of the
southern plains spark into open rebellion that takes the Realm two years to suppress, concluding with the slaughter of every member
of the Desert Pumas.

Realm Year 688:

Eutychia the Bull slain on Stagnation’s Altar, a Third Circle Demon, establishes the Black Scale Embassy in the Sea of the Mind.

Realm Year 698:

The Emissaries of Perfect Water are founded.

Realm Year 703:

Kolar III mounts a coup to become despot of Gem.

Realm Year 707:

Bloodied Scythe Uprising.

Realm Year 708:

V’Neef is born.

Realm Year 720:

The residents of the isle of Simanare, inspired by the Immaculate Faith, revolt against Ten Stripes’ rule. She puts it down mercilessly.

Realm Year 728:

Peleps Howdarn discovers the Bent Creak jade beds in Harborhead and claims them in the name of the Empress much to the
indignation of House Peleps.

Realm Year 731:

Explorers uncover the ruins of what appear to be a First Age city near Crystal. This however is actually the physical form of Swar an
unshaped Rakhasa trapped in Creation.

Realm Year 732:

Vax, a drug addled astrologer in Chiaroscuro, after taking an overdose of Bright Morning founds the beginnings of the Cult of the
Illuminated.

Realm Year 748:

The Autocrat of Thorns dies. The Realm deposes the rightful heir and installs a puppet king who agrees to invade the River Province
on its behalf. In preparation for this the Realm sends several Dragon-Blooded advisors to aid the new Autocrat and supplies Thorns
with several First Age weapons under the pretense of supporting its new ally.

Realm Year 752:

The army of Thorns, bulwarked by the Realm’s troops, invades the western states of the Confederation of Rivers. The forces of
Thorns are easily defeated by the Confederation’s battle-hardened troops forcing the Autocrat to pour more and more resources into a
hopeless conflict.

Realm Year 754:

The forces of Thorns are decisively defeated by the Confederation in the Battle of Mishaka but at a high cost. The entirety of the Great
Forks Light Foot is annihilated. With its military destroyed the city of Thorns teeters on the brink of civil war and order is maintained
only with the aid of the Autocrat’s Dragon-Blooded advisors.
Shen-Aru assumes leadership of the Cult of the Illuminated upon Vax’ death. The founder of the cult is buried at the village of
Ratachul, renamed Vision of Light, in Yane.

Realm Year 758:

Coral diplomats working under Sea Lord DiBello Gerarde establish new trade routes with the North. Coral’s economic recession
recedes.

Realm Year 759:

Sesus Chenow retires from his post in the Neck.

Realm Year 761:

The Bull of the North’s forces carry out attacks on the Rokan-Jin and Talnin tribes both of whom are allies of the Linowan.

Realm Year 762:

The venerable Lunar elder Ingosh Silverclaws passes away after delivering his prophecy describing the Time of Tumult.
The Bull of the North sends Samea, a Zenith caste sorcerer to aid his forces in subduing the Rokan-Jin and Talnin tribes. Soon the
conflict escalates into full-scale war.

Realm Year 763:

The Scarlet Empress vanishes early in the year, abducted by the Ebon Dragon.
During Celebration of the Seven Shattered Helms the Great Houses co-opt the thirty remaining Imperial legions at sword point,
relieving their generals and installing family members and loyalists as their new commanders. Saloy Hin’s Seventeenth Legion
escapes to the Southern Threshold.
Responding to pleas for assistance from the Linowan, the Realm sends the Tepet legions which arrive in Greyfalls at middle of the
year, led by Tepet Arada to aid the Linowan in subduing the Bull of the North.
The Deathlords breach the Jade Prison, freeing the essences of almost 300 Solars. They capture more than half, tithing fifty to the
Yozis and dividing the rest among themselves. This event heralds the return of the Solar exalted and the creation of the Abyssal and
Infernal exalted.

Realm Year 764:

The Council of the Empty Throne, the Deliberative names Tepet Fokuf as regent.
After an early victory at Krellen Ford the Tepet Legions suffer defeat after defeat at the hands of the Bull of the North’s forces. To
boost the morale of the battered Tepet legions the Bronze Faction destroys the Ardeleth city of Fallen Lapis. Two months later the
Bull of the North destroys the retreating Tepet legions in the Battle of Futile Blood at the Valley of Shards.
The Mask of Winters conquers Thorns.
The Silver Prince appears on Darkmist Isle.
Ayesha Ura appears to Shen Aru at Vision of Light naming him the Herald of a New Age. The Gold Faction co-opts the cult and
reorganizes it into the Outer Circle.:
Wyld storms begin to encroach into the Haslanti League’s territory heralding the start of the Wyldfog War.

Realm Year 765:

Avishander Nemoran upon being elected as Sea Lord of Coral channels much of Coral’s new wealth into its military.

Realm Year 766:

Tekia Blue Water, a Changing Moon Lunar allied with the Lintha, wrests control of the island of Ilmarni from the Guild. The Guild
appeals to the Realm for help against the Lunar and the imperial response is to send the Wyld Hunt to chase off the Lunar and her
allies. After the conflict the Guild returns and reestablishes order and control over the island.
Oshom Kurgar appointed Leopard of Harborhead after Realm sanctioned assassination of the previous monarch.

Realm Year 767:

The village of Vision of Light is razed by the Immaculate Order.

Realm Year 768:

Yugash breaches the Seal of Eight Divinities, establishing a base at the Font of Mourning and expanding into the Silent Crescent.
The Autochonians defeat the Olafari tribe while its leader Golden Venna Boar-Rider is enslaved and taken to Yugash.
Excessively Righteous Blossom defeats the Lunar Ten Stripes in single combat and executes her.

Realm Year 771:

The Present Day.
