Answer the following question: Can a population grow indefinitely?

To answer this question well we will have to be clear that it is exactly population, a population
according to the web page Meanings: population is a set of living beings of a species that lives in a
certain place.

If you answer that it is a population, we can answer the first question. Can a population grow
indefinitely? Populations for a population to grow need a number of factors such as reproduction,
feeding, number of the species and its predators. These factors cause a population to grow or
decrease and missing any of these could cause an over population or a possible extinction. But
what is an over population? According to the page Youth believes Overpopulation is a
demographic phenomenon that occurs when the high density of the population causes negative
consequences in the environment. These sequels can be of various types such as damage to the
environment.

Normally animals have high and low seasons, what does this mean? It means that in a few
moments a specific species has more individuals than in another moment, this happens since at
the moment the food is abundant and the individuals of this species are in a period of
reproduction this generates the high season at this moment is when hunters are allowed to hunt
that animal, but the low season is when the number of individuals of a low species.

So what would happen if a population grew indefinitely. What would happen is that resources
such as food or others that are fundamental to the life of that population would be spent for the
constant exploitation of these resources. Once the resources of the population of this species will
end, it will begin to decrease, it will decrease to a small population and in some cases the
population will become extinct

In conclusion, a population could not grow indefinitely since different factors such as food and
predators do not allow it to grow if it limits its growth and lowers it so that the species rises again
and that cycle is repeated.
