Let's check to see if the company you are looking at meets my high
standards of what makes a good opportunity.

Do you get paid every time you recruit someone new?

Is the product consumable?

Does the product serve a wide audience?

Are there at least 100 products available at any given


time?

Are there really good 'evergreen' products? Products


that are available on a continual basis year round.

Is there some type of autoship or subscription service


for products?

Is the retention rate of new consultants higher than


50%?
A multi-layered compensation plan means you will get compensated in
more than one way. Typically this is done through various bonuses.
Please note that this shouldn't be a one-time bonus, but rather be a
bonus every month you hit a certain rank, recruit, etc.

Most Direct Sales companies do not pay you every time you recruit
someone. However, there are companies that do. You should be
rewarded for doing the work!

You'll want to make sure the products are consumable, otherwise


customers won't have a reason to come back and make another
purchase.

The best way to make more money is to sell a product more people can
use. Don't get stuck selling a product to a small, niche market.

Besides consumable products, you'll want to make sure the company


has a wide variety of products to choose from. If the company has only
25 products, it will be difficult for customers to continue to purchase
month after month.

While seasonal exclusive products are a great way to boost sales, you'll
want to make sure there are some consumable products that are staple
and will be great purchases year round.

Subscription services are now a must in the industry, especially if you


want to grow your paycheck as you need increased volume each
month, and the best way to accomplish that is by previous customers
continuing to purchase.

Typically retention rates are much lower than 50%, so find an


opportunity where success within the company comes more naturally.
