Classroom Mathematics Summary

1. The class average as a group is 67%, which is just 3% below a C average. The top half of
the class earned above a B average in Addition and Subtraction, while the last half of the
class earned a D average and below.
The class average answers for questions 4,12, & 13 are at a B average and better. These
questions are the majority of what the class seemed to understand very well.
2. Juan answered all the addition, subtraction, and division questions at a 100 percentile and
is leading the class with the best scores. Hugh also answered all the addition questions
correctly at a 100 percentile throughout the class. Jack scored an 80% on both the
addition and subtraction questions. Jack’s scores are well above the class average group
score.
3. Luke answered six straight questions in a row incorrectly. Questions 6-12 involved
addition, subtraction, and division problems. I will need to get with Luke and find out
why he is struggling. Claire scored the next two lowest scores on both the addition and
subtraction questions. Nathan scored the next two lowest scores on the addition and
subtraction questions. Nathan scored in the bottom two in the entire class for subtraction
questions. I will get with every student who scored below an 80% on the test and review
for better scores in the future. As a class we will get together and go over the questions
and see which questions made sense and which questions did not.
