Shias and Ali

A very leaned individual and I had a long conversation last night about shias and their beliefs. He elaborated
on how the agreed upon methodology among the scholars of Ahl Al Sunnah Wa Al Jama’ah is to judge any
sect’s belief according to what their scholars say, as opposed to what the individual members say. Hats off to
Br. Vajih Hamid for making me curious enough to look into this.

Following the controversy over in Pakistan with Dr. Israr Ahmed quoting a hadith regarding Ali (ra) and
drunkenness it has called into view something that we should all be concerned about:

What exactly do Shias believe about Ali (this is a short precursor to a larger article that O.B. is working on)?

Check out the following quotes from their scholars. They speak for themselves:

Wherever Quran referred the word “RABB”, it meant as Ali (r.a). [Jila-ul-A’yoon, Vol#2, Pg#66 – Published
Lahore]

On the night of consummation of marriage of Ali (r.a) and Fatima (r.a), Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w)
instructed them not to start their work (sexual intercourse) until He arrives there. [Jila-ul-A’yoon, Vol#1,

Ali (r.a) and other Ahlul Bayt (r.a) are equal in the rank with Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) and are

Adam (a.s)’s prayers were accepted on the mediation of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w), Ali (r.a), Fatima

Ali (r.a) possesses same rights as were kept by Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w). [Usool-ul-Kaafi, Vol#1,

After the death when Angels of grave start questioning then Maula’s {Ali (r.a)} chair is being brought and
sins are pardoned only after recognizing him. [Jila-ul-A’yoon, Vol#2, Pg#85 – Published Lahore]

Abdullah Ibn-e-Saba was the first who declared the faith in Imamat and that Ali (r.a) is the true God .

Surly you are one of the decendants of yazid bin mawiya (lananti) as your are basing your so called
research on lies i am not shia but i have many shia friends and they beleive in one true God Allah and
His prophet as sunnis do but they beleive that imam ali and his decendants have the devine duty of
imamat with them,this dont make them God! ,and by the way the person abdullah ibn sabah didnt ever
existed its made up by the yazidies to disgrace Imam Ali.you people always spread lies about shias and
imams because you are liars and muafiqs
