The smart exchange lesson would be used as a group

symbol, or decimal. The student’s would then raise their
hands and go to a different amount on the board from the
total amount that was inside their bag and place either the
correct dollar symbol, cent symbol, and decimal point in the
correct place it needed to be. After counting and writing the
correct amounts of money and the symbols and decimals on
the board, the whole class would get together as a group
and go over the smart exchange review lesson as a group. I
