The E-portfolio I assessed was less a display of all their work, more so an advanced

resume. Nonetheless, it was very appeasing. It had pictures of the author related to their subject

matter (mostly marine biology). Her theme was bluish-gray and revolved around the ocean, even

having an octopus as her symbol. It was informational but was tailored to her personality, so it

felt like we were really getting to know her.

The page is very well made and very easy to access. There are tabs where we can quickly

go to the parts of her E-portfolio we are interested in. Every section is properly titled so there’s

no excessive reading. There are extra links for things she could not explain in one paragraph. It is

short and sweet and gives the added links for very curious readers.

The page is formatted more like a professional blog or website. Everything is set up into

sections. Each tab at the top of the site is dedicated to a specific subject/paper that can be shortly,

yet substantially explained. This website is catering to hiring offices, so it must be short, yet

fulfilling. No business has time to go through long series of nonsense. The whole page is

dedicated to building her ethos and pathos. Her experience and love for marine biology will

attract employers who see her as dedicated, hardworking, and amiable

Personally, I think an E-portfolio should be fleshed out more. Because it is so short, it

takes away from the informality that she has. E-portfolios are the most professional places where
you can be yourself, in my opinion, extensively. She has something good here, it’s just a little

too short and underdeveloped.
