Work Center

Work center is an organization unit where manufacturing activities are performed. It is are used in
task list (routing) operations and is copied to production orders.

We create work center based on work center category:

Here Standard value key is very important since it calculates the formula on how different activity
types is used for standard cost calculation.
If we input standard value key as No standard values then the system will not calculate the formula
and confirmation posting cannot be done for the production order.

Another important step in setting up a work center is that the cost center and activity type is
maintained in the costing tab of the work center which would be used for calculating the activity
costs.
