Q1. What I learned in the class?

 The session revolved around emotional intelligence (EI) and its importance. EQ is more important
than IQ to be a great leader.

 It was discussed that how efficient leaders are self- motivated, self-aware and empathetic etc.
and hence by giving more weightage to EQ over IQ are able to manage their team well and achieve
their vision in life.

We used a tool to understand our individual,

 Overall EI
 Self-Awareness
 Self-Management
 Social Awareness
 Relationship Management

We calculated individual scores for each of the component and evaluated ourselves on the same.

After this activity, the class was divided in five groups and was handed over different parts of a case “What
makes a leader?” by Daniel Goleman.

We jotted down the points for our respective parts, our being Empathy.

Motivation described the empathetic, self-motivated, optimistic, self-aware, challenging tasks etc. as the
characteristics of the leader.

We concluded the session with our submission on the same.

Q2. My reflections

 With the EQ tool, I got to know that I lack in Self-Management, Self-Awareness, Relationship
Management, and overall EI.
