A summary of The Explanation Text

Essays consist of at least three paragraphs:

1. The first paragraph (introductory) serves to introduce the background of the topic and to
express the main thoughts of the essay.

2. The next paragraph (body) is to supports the main idea by explaining the subject under
consideration.

3. The last paragraph (conclusion) is to close the discussion.

The main idea and the major supporting detail are always in the form of a sentence. A text
explanation is a text that explains why/how things happen (sequentially), the same as the text
procedure. The primary supporting detail consists of one sentence. If we just write one statement,
it's not complete. Therefore we must incorporate the statements to write the key details in
support.

Suppose that there is an essay of 6 paragraphs. The first paragraph is the introductory and
primary idea of this essay. The following paragraphs are the body and each paragraph has a key
idea. So the key breakdown of the support serves as the key idea of each paragraph.

When we talk about essays, it doesn't always mean explanation text, it can be: descriptive,
recount, argumentative, and so on.
