Miss Kha

This hearing check was conducted on Thursday, 6 September 2018

Thank you for taking the Specsavers hearing check. The results of your check are detailed below.

Your hearing screen suggests a mild loss of hearing in each ear. Please take the test again or call
Specsavers on 0800 0232949. You can also book an appointment at your closest Specsavers
online here

Details
This type of hearing pattern, Miss Kha, is deceptive in that you probably feel you hear perfectly
well some of the time yet find others more challenging. You may notice the following:

• Speech in a quiet environment presents little problem but speech in background sound is
more difficult. For example listening to a television news reader may be OK but
following a drama may be more difficult

• You have difficulty understanding speakers from a distance, such as a town hall, meeting
room or possibly even another room in your house.

• You have to concentrate hard to fill in the gaps and if people speak too quickly you either
lose the thread or make the wrong judgement about what was said.

• You may find others commenting on the volume of the television at home and you may
now find the ads seem to be a lot louder than the programmes.
