NARRATIVE REPORT ON CYBER SAFETY

Activity: School Learning Action Cell on Cyber Safety
Venue: Dr. Gerardo Sabal Memorial National High School
Date: Oct. 16, 2019

Highlights of the Activity:

The SLAC was attended by all teachers of DGSMNHS together with our school principal.
The center point of the SLAC was about the Cyber Safety in Schools. The SLAC started at 4:30
and ended up to 5:30 p.m.
Topics discussed were as follows:
 Child Online Protection
 Cyberbullying
 Cyber safety Lessons with Videos

Insights Gained:
We shared fruitful ideas toward Cyber Safety in Schools. It gives us various information
on how we can take an action to our students who will experience cyber bullying or any cyber-
crimes. The SLAC helped us to be aware on how to use the internet and other gadgets
correctly.

Recommendation:
We learned a lot of information from our SLAC and we are planning to help spread
awareness about Cyber Safety by sharing what we have learned during GPTA to help our
parents become aware about the internet world. We would also like to have a symposium with
our SSG officers for them to take a lead in the cyber safety awareness in school. Advisers were
also given soft copies about the lessons which they could use in the classroom setting.
