Using Learning
Platforms to Assess:
Learning platforms such as Prodigy, Rocket
Speller, and Readworks can be used to assess
student data.

As an educator, I try my best to collect as much

data as possible on my students. However, I can
be subject to human error. Fortunately
technology provides less room for error and can
give a more accurate, timely and precise result after they progress through each level. This is

UTILIZING TECH TOOLS IN DIGITAL STANDARDIZED TESTS:

Several times a year students participate in the i-
Ready standardized test. For my impact on student
learning project, I looked to i-Ready pre and post
data to collect information on my students, place
them in appropriate reading groups, and plan
reading lessons. After the pre-assessment i-Ready
placed students into specific groups based on their
reading needs. Students struggled the most in the
areas of phonics, vocabulary, and Informational Text
Comprehension. This data along with students
reading scores was used to group students based
on their needs. i-Ready also provides lessons for students based on the reading domains that they
need the most help in.
