OL RULES for 2020

In an effort to play faster, we are simplifying the blocking scheme for all Option plays.
Option plays
 Inside Veer
 Midline and Navy
 Speed Option
 Outside Veer (new play)
All of these plays will be blocked using this rule set:
 Point of attack = BASE BLOCK
 Inside point of attach = BASE BLOCK
 Outside point of attach = VEER IN
 Backside = SCOOP (like towel drill)
Examples:
Midline and Navy the point of attack is the Center. Applying the rules:
 PST – VEER IN
 PSG – VEER IN
 C – (POINT OF ATTACK) Base
 BSG – SCOOP
 BST - SCOOP
