Provide Examples/Evidence of Above (Domain 1):

Mr. Pionk comes every day ready to teach the daily lesson. He
starts with a warm-up which is a review of the previous day's
lesson and proceeds to go over the daily learning target. The
warm-ups are creative PowerPoint warm-ups, and then guides
the students through "Discussion Guides". In these students
read/write/discuss/brainstorm/work in groups/watch video clips
to take notes/answer questions on the daily topic.

Mr. Pionk was planning to create his own assessment, but

obviously we've been interrupted.

Mr. Pionk was in charge of an entire Economics unit in Mr.

Weber's class from start to finish.

2a. Creates an Proficient

environment of respect
and rapport that
establishes a culture for
learning (please see
descriptions below) *

2b. Manages classroom Proficient

procedures (please see
descriptions below) *

2c. Manages student Proficient

behavior (please see
descriptions below) *

Provide Mr. Pionk has a great rapport with his

Examples/Evidence of students. He greats them at the door,
Above (Domain 2): and uses humor and engaging
activities that keep students involved
in the learning process. Because of
these strategies, Mr. Pionk has not
had a single incident where he has
had to discipline a student.

Mr. Pionk was very involved with our

last parent-teacher conference and
was comfortable conversing with
parents about their child's strengths
and weaknesses. I could tell by what
and how he responded that he has
really made connections with EJMHS
students.

Provide Mr. Pionk has grasped engagement

Examples/Evidence of techniques and uses them very well.
Above (Domain 3): He uses table huddles, choral
reading, whack-a-mole, 30 second
interviews, stand up if you know, go
to the corner if you know, buddy
checks, small fires, Quizizz, video
clips, and more. He relates very well
with our students and as mentioned
early meets them a the door each
day.

He is very flexible because of the

strange year that we are having. He
has had to sub on occasion and also
cover all of my classes when I was at
an in-service at the ISD.

4a. Shows Professional Proficient

Responsibilities (please
see descriptions below) *

Provide Mr. Pionk has done everything that

Examples/Evidence of has been asked of him. He gets along
Above (Domain 4): with our staff and has been part of
our "lunch table". He has attended
PLC's with the history department.

I think Mr. Pionk will be very

successful as a history teacher
wherever he ends up. He will always
get my recommendation.
