COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The course, Administration Law, Law on Public Officers and Election


Law, is a three (3) unit subject falling under Political Law. The course will cover
the development and application of principles and doctrines governing
administrative agencies with rule-making and adjudicative functions. It will
also consider the laws and principles applicable to public officers. Lastly, it will
examine the law regulating the conduct of elections and the law on pre-
proclamation contests and election protests.

COURSE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

Course At the end of the course, the student is expected to


accomplish the following:

a. A basic knowledge of the right to suffrage, powers
of administrative agencies and civil service law and
principles;
b. An understanding of the extent of administrative
jurisdiction and power;
c. A better grasp of the innovations introduced by the
Constitution particularly the concept of “Public
Office is a Public Trust”;
d. Updated with the current developments and
jurisprudence in Election Law; and
e. Develop civic consciousness and advocacies.
