INTRODUCTION

A mathematical model for erythropoiesis after blood loss in healthy participants has been
designed. The purpose of these mathematical models is that it can be used in clinical practice to
predict red blood cell counts such as patients infected with diseases such as polycythemia Vera
or anemia. The main motivation for this analysis is for the polycythemia Vera. Later in details,
we provide some insightful details of this infection and discuss some practicable applications of
the model in other diseases as well. I will mainly discuss the main contribution made by the
researchers at the Heart Center Freiburg University which has been a data-challenged
mathematical models.
