MOTIVATION

Jainism as a religion is a mix of philosophies like Non-


Violence, Truthfulness, Non-Stealing, Non- Absolution,- Non-
Attachment.
The Reason to choose this as my research project is because of
the scope to uncover the roots of the religion, how it emerged
and how it prospered its way through becoming the religion
which has 4-6 million followers in India.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

For the Purpose of doing the project doctrinal research


methodology has been adopted for presenting the material in the
project various history books and magzines have been
consulted. The Information in the project has been represented
to the best of the knowledge and availability of means and
resources. To present the information due care has been taken to
present the material in correct prospective.
