1. What are UN Principles for Responsible Management Education?

PRME Principle 1 | Purpose: We will develop the capabilities of students to be future
generators of sustainable value for business and society at large and to work for an inclusive and
sustainable global economy.
PRME Principle 2 | Values: We will incorporate into our academic activities, curricula,
and organizational practices the values of global social responsibility as portrayed in
international initiatives such as the United Nations Global Compact.
PRME Principle 3 | Method: We will create educational frameworks, materials,
processes and environments that enable effective learning experiences for responsible leadership.
PRME Principle 4 | Research: We will engage in conceptual and empirical research that
advances our understanding about the role, dynamics, and impact of corporations in the creation
of sustainable social, environmental and economic value.
PRME Principle 5 | Partnership: We will interact with managers of business
corporations to extend our knowledge of their challenges in meeting social and environmental
responsibilities and to explore jointly effective approaches to meeting these challenges.
PRME Principle 6 | Dialogue: We will facilitate and support dialog and debate among
educators, students, business, government, consumers, media, civil society organizations and
other interested groups and stakeholders on critical issues related to global social responsibility
and sustainability.

2. Define the concept of Environmental Ethics.

Environmental Ethics is the discipline in philosophy that studies the moral relationship of
human beings to, and also the value and moral status of, the environment and its non-human
contents. In simple words, Environmental Ethics has to do with the moral and ethical obligations
of a man to the preservation and care of the environment. Humans are inseparable from the
natural world of environment. With environmental ethics, you can ensure that you are doing your
part to keep the environment safe and protected. Instead of thinking about nature as something
meant for human use, we need to think humans as part of nature. Instead of trying to master
nature, we should seek harmony with nature.

3. What ideas can you suggest so that schools can be more ecologically sensitive?
In attempt to be more ecologically sensitive, I suggest that schools should post
conservation reminders everywhere. Simple signs really do make a difference. Post reminders to
turn off the lights when they’re not using it, save water when washing hands, etc. Aside from
post notes, arrange awareness programs among students through poster exhibition and popular
lectures. Other than these, I recommend adding plants to every classroom space. The school
authorities should adopt these changes to make the school environmental friendly/ecologically
sensitive. Students and parents can also help in attaining green schools.
