Methods for laboratory tests

Ph
1. Turn on the PHC101 pH  meter probe
2. Calibrate the pH meter
3. Rinse the pH probe with deionized water and blot dry with a lint free paper towel.
4. Rinse the probe twice with the sample water and then blot dry with a lint free paper
towel after each rinse.
5. Immerse the probe into the sample water and record the pH.
6. Repeat steps 1-4 on each water sample 3 times for each sample.
7. Record all results.

Dissolved oxygen
1. Turn on the HACH HQ40d meter probe.
2. Calibrate the meter.
3. Rinse the HACH LDO101 probe with deionized water and blot dry with a lint free
paper towel.
4. Rinse the probe twice with the sample water and then blot dry with a lint free paper
towel after each rinse.
5. Immerse the probe into the sample water and record the dissolved oxygen content
(DO).
6. Repeat steps 1-5 on each water sample 3 times  for each sample.
7. Record all results.

Conductivity
1. Turn on the  HQ40d meter.
2. Calibrate the meter.
3. Rinse the CDC 404 probe with deionized water and blot dry with a lint free paper
towel.
4. Rinse the probe twice with the sample water and then blot dry with a lint free paper
towel after each rinse.
5. Immerse the probe into the sample water and record the conductivity.
6. Repeat steps 1-4 on each water sample 3 times  for each sample.
7. Record all results.

Turbidity
1. Turn on the turbidity meter.
2. Calibrate the turbidity meter.
3. Rinse the small bottle with deionized water.
4. Rinse the small bottle twice with the sample water.
5. Fill the bottle with sample water and close tightly.
6. Carefully clean the outside of the bottle  with the lint-free paper towel to avoid any
smudges or obstructions on the bottle.
7. Place the sample bottle with the sample into the turbidity meter and test the turbidity
of the sample water.
8. Repeat steps 1-7 on each water sample 3 times for each sample.
9. Record all results.
