Spherical Particle Wear Compound
• High performance polymer for fast in-situ repairs
• Quick repairs mean less downtime and increased productivity
• No special tools, minimal heat required for application
• Densely packed alumina spheres provide a slick anti-wear sur-
face and silicon carbide particles reinforced with fibers means a
tough wear and corrosion resistant matrix
AbraSphere
Competition
Small angular carbides in the matrix lock the spheres in place. As the
matrix wears, the spheres are exposed providing a superior wear resistant
coating.
DESCRIPTION: APPLICATIONS:
AbraSphere 400 is a specially formulated wear resistant · Rebuild worn areas on pumps and impellers
compound consisting of a hardener and a resin. When · Line chutes, elbows and piping sections that are used to
mixed, the components react and cure to form a tough convey abrasive materials (coal, cement, etc.)
wear and corrosion resistant coating. Unlike other polymer · Form a wear face on fan blades and fan housings
coatings, it contains over 50% sintered alumina spheres for · Restore screw flights to dimension
increased wear resistance over time. The Spheres are mixed
with silicon carbide particles and suspended in a durable
epoxy matrix. The matrix is reinforced with ballistic grade TECHNICAL DATA:
