Analytical summary

The environmental impact assessment (EIA) appears as an environmental

protection tool supported by an appropriate institutional framework for the different
countries, which allows estimating the effects that the execution of a given project
causes on environmental factors, human population, fauna, flora, soil, water, air
and landscape, where its systematic analysis process focuses on identifying,
predicting and valuing environmental impacts, as well as those that are beneficial
and proposing mitigation measures for the works and projects activities before their
execution, so that it avoids a judgment about its environmental viability.

This in turn anticipates some processes for the preventive environmental control of
the projects that are supported by the study of environmental impact, in a process
of public participation and which results in a pronouncement called the
environmental impact statement, in addition to achieving its Incorporation as an
effective support tool, it is necessary that the evaluation is documented and based
on all its attaches (Selection, definition of scope, preparation of the EIA, review), in
such a way that it is reliable and easily accessible to the parties involved.

It should be noted that any environmental impact assessment process includes a

series of basic components that allow it to achieve its specific objectives, which
contain a set of legal norms, an administrative procedure, a document that shows
the environmental impact assessment and a resolution on the environmental
effects of said activity or project that is carried out.
