According to the data that I collected, the class as a whole group is not doing well. The

class average is 67 percent, which is a D+ in Virginia Beach Public City Schools. Most students

got 50 percent and below. Question 11 was a subtraction question and question 5 was a division

question. The whole class struggled with these questions, so I would focus on the skills needed

for those questions when I review the material again. The students that may need extra support

are Luke, Claire, and Molly. Molly and Claire did well on the addition questions but struggled

greatly with subtraction. However, Luke struggled in both sections. Juan was the only student

that got all the questions correct. Hugh, Jack, and Jamal were the students that passed with 80

percent. All three students did well on subtraction, but they could use a little help on addition.

Overall, the data shows that I failed to teach the information in a way that my students could

understand and retain it. Everyone in the class would benefit from a review. Juan could possibly

help his classmates as a student representative since he got all the questions correct. I could show

the whole class the class averages without any names and discuss what I could do better.
