RE: Letter of character reference – Briana Young

Briana Young has been an Intern with Ohio Guidestone since January,
2019. During Briana’s Internship, she completed trainings, shadowing
opportunities, and provided services to clients of Ohio Guidestone. Ohio
Guidestone services inner-city or suburban individuals who are living
below poverty levels. Ohio Guidestone clients participate in mental health
services with many additional multi-systemic needs. Goals of treatment
include reducing the impact of mental health or substance use disorders,
and developing coping skills to manage symptoms and improve
functioning.

During Briana’s internship experience, she participated as an integral part

of wraparound teams which included: Psychiatrists, Psychotherapists,
Case Managers, court personnel, child protection workers, and naturally
occurring supports within the client’s environment. Briana’s role was to
provide interventions to assist clients in managing symptoms, and
coordinate with treatment team members to ensure that her interventions
were appropriately addressing client’s needs.

Briana provided an excellent level of services to her clients throughout her

Internship. Briana demonstrated growth in the areas of organization,
decision-making, dependability, initiative, resourcefulness, adaptability,
enthusiasm, communication, and professionalism. Briana not only
benefitted from her Internship at Ohio Guidestone, but her clients and
other team members benefitted from her hard work and commitment.
