in the Project Management Help.

Security Enhancements
---------------------
In P6 version 6.2.1, Oracle Primavera provided a stronger encryption algorithm for
private
database login passwords. All private database login passwords created or modified
in P6 version 6.2.1 and later will use the new encryption algorithm. All private
database
login passwords created in 6.2 and earlier versions will continue to use the
previous
encryption algorithm until you reset or modify the existing passwords. Refer to the

instructions for resetting existing passwords to use the new encryption algorithm
in
in the "Database Configuration" chapter of the P6 Administrator's Guide.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION

the Primavera Applications section of the Oracle Technology Network Documentation
site:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/index.html.

Note: If you will be choosing the Stand-alone option during the Client Modules

None.
KNOWN DOCUMENTATION ISSUES IN P6 version 7.0
============================================

Oracle 11g Client (32-bit)

--------------------------
You are no longer required to install the Oracle 11g client (32-bit) when
installing P6 client modules on a 64-bit operating system. Ignore the sections,
"Additional Information for 64-bit Installations" in the "P6 Client Installation
and Configuration" chapter of the P6 Administrator's Guide and "Additional
Information for 64-bit Operating Systems" in the Stand-Alone Technical Document
(version 7.0.0.0.0).

Oracle 11g Instant Client

-------------------------
Although not fully supported for P6 version 7.0, you may choose to use Oracle
Instant Client to connect to your P6 database. Ignore the section, "Connecting to
Oracle Databases Using Oracle 11g Instant Client" in the Database Administration
chapter of the P6 Administrator's Guide, and refer to Solution ID 1066056.1 in the
Oracle Primavera Support Knowledgebase for the latest configuration information:
http://www.oracle.com/primavera/support.html.

Non-Default Ports for SQL Server

--------------------------------
If using a non-default SQL Server port, you can perform database administration
tasks in lieu of installing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility
Components on each client machine that requires full access to P6 Integration API
functionality. For more information, refer to Solution ID 1066057.1 in the Oracle
Primavera Support Knowledgebase:
http://www.oracle.com/primavera/support.html.

JRockit for Oracle WebLogic (64-bit)

------------------------------------
In the P6 Administrator's Guide, follow the instructions in the "Media Packs"
section of the Preface that detail how to obtain JRockit for Oracle WebLogic Server
10gR3 (64-bit). Ignore the following statement in the "Installing WebLogic"
sections of the Installing P6 Progress Reporter and Installing P6 Web Access
chapters:

To use JRockit with 64-bit Windows servers, JRockit Real Time 3.0 for
Java version 6 (1.6.0_11) is required. Download this version from the
following website:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jrockit/index.html

JBoss Port Conflicts

--------------------
When deploying P6 Progress Reporter and P6 Web Access from the same JBoss
installation, you must perform additional configuration steps to resolve listen
port conflicts. For more information, refer to Solution ID 913959.1 in the Oracle
Primavera Support Knowledgebase:
http://www.oracle.com/primavera/support.html.
