Hi My Name Is Jenifer. I ‘m 39 years old but my 6-year-old son keeps me feeling young.

My son name is
Aydan and he is my world. Aydan and I like to spend a lot of time outside playing ball, making chalk art,
taking hikes, or gardening.

I am studying psychology and have less than a year left to achieve my goal of getting an associate’s
degree in both Psychology and Liberal Arts and Applied Science. I use to be an EMT but got injured on
the job. My injuries have moved me forward in my life with a different path in achieving my long-term
goal of finishing college. I have a passion for helping other people. I want to help young children with my
psychology degree. I find the way children use their minds to be fascinating.

I chose to write about stress and techniques because I have struggled personally with stress in my life
along with many others. My 6-year-old son struggles with stress in his life at his young age. My son has
been diagnosed with ADHD. Learning to deal with stress through stress techniques takes time and
practice but it can work. Stress effects everyone in a different way and by using stress techniques will
give an overall peaceful mind and healthier life.

My goals for the research paper was to reveal evidence that using stress techniques is better to use than
taking medication with the many side effects they can cause. I have discovered that some people do
have negative side effects to stress techniques. I will point out that stress techniques side effects were
not as severe and did not have as many side effects compared to the medications. I have gained more
insight on how being mindful helps with ADHD children. I have learned through an interesting research
study conducted, that nature gives health benefits to the mind and body. I have learned more on the
bad side effects medication can cause a person. I have gained knowledge on music therapy to the affects
that it can have on a person. I am proud of all the time and research that I put into the paper. I am proud
to have discover new information that I did not know about before, regarding people having negative
side effects to stress techniques. If I would to do this paper over again, I would add more stress
techniques. I would add more on yoga techniques and how yoga helps reduce stress levels in people. I
do believe this research paper made me a stronger writer.
