Unit 7: Ideal Job

I started to work seventeen years ago when I was sixteen years old in a Parochial
school as a librarian and in the same time I studied electronic maintenance of
computers and networks and I had the opportunity to practice whit de computers of
the systems room, but I learn myself to develop software so I changed my job and
started to work in a company as a software developer and database administrator,
I was 3 years working and learning a lot of new things like accounting, industrial
process, resource management and of course I learned more about software
develop and database administration. And again, I changed my job in that
opportunity I worked with a Spanish company and it was amazing, I discovered
about industrial production of software and with than knowledge I changed to my
actual job, now I am an innovation director in the company that I work.
So, if I have to think about my dream job, I have the answer clear. My dream job is
where I can develop my own ideas, is where I can develop free my skills, where I
be a leader, where I inspired to others, where I am respected for my knowledge
and the most important where I can contribute. Of course, the are other things that
are important to make a job in an ideal, like how much money are you to earn but
for me that is not the main reason.
When you have a job like I described before you have secured the satisfaction
because every project that you finish is a victory for you and we work with
technology, it means every thing than you develop or contribute to develop is going
to be used for people, so when you see that your creations are used you are feel a
real satisfaction. And in my case in each one of my jobs I felt satisfaction because I
not only have to work but also, I learn and teach many things and many of the
programs I developed are still in use.
On the contrary, if you have a job, where you only do what others ask you to do,
where you can share your ideas, where you only have to repeat without thinking,
for me something like that is a horrible job.
And also, is important to know that if you want to have and ideal job you have to be
prepared for it and today you can take advantage of technology, there is many
courses for free to learned whatever.
