Huskies Saying No More

Goal: educate students about the prevalence of abuse (domestic, emotional, physical,
fiscal) and sexual assault, provide resources for those facing these issues, advice on
prevention and how to stay safe, events geared toward awareness and education as
well as fundraising

Event Ideas:
 Selling baked goods with no more logo on it
 Putting up pictures of students around campus holding up signs and
responses to “Why I’m saying No More ________”
 Selling something representative of safety (whistles? Fake mace?)
 Day of silence for victims with shirts to wear around campus

Education/Resources
 Put up signs in bathrooms asking if students feel safe and giving them
numbers to call or places to go if they are in trouble
 Posters with statistics, facts, definitions of abuse, and what they can do,
especially those with student models/photographers/graphic designers
 Using campaigns like #whyIstayed and #yeseverywoman
 Hosting a walk or sit in event to stand up to violence (creative ideas pending)

Meetings
 Come up with events to host on campus, as well as how to get students
involved
 Recruiting more students
