With whom did you work during your community service?

I work with Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.

Why did you choose this community service activity (or activities)?
I chose to work with them because every year, they do a three-week camp and teach children
how to play three mariachi songs. I had been a part of that camp and since I am currently in the
mariachi ensemble that they have, I could help out instead of being one of the students. I liked
this activity because I taught children how to play an instrument and play three songs in three
weeks.

What did you learn about the organization, company, or business during your participation?

I learned that they want every child to have an opportunity to learn something new for free and
find out what are the things that they are interested in.

How does your community service connect to any of the following: your career interests,
personal interests, academic achievement, and/or targeted soft skills?

I had to communicate with children so they could learn faster and answer their questions.
